Online Therapy in Ohio
Some of life’s chapters are harder than others.
Maybe life doesn’t look quite the way you thought it would. Maybe you’re overwhelmed, stuck, grieving, starting over, or simply wondering, “What now?”
You don’t need all the answers before you begin. Therapy can be a place to understand where you are, decide where you want to go, and begin moving forward.

Next Chapter Counseling was created with the belief that therapy should be a space where you feel heard, supported, and encouraged to grow into a deeper understanding of yourself.
The name Next Chapter is rooted in two ideas. The first comes from my own approach as a therapist. I value continued learning and regularly turn to research, books, and other resources to expand my knowledge and bring new perspectives into the therapy room.
The second comes from the way I think about our lives: not as one continuous story, but as a collection of chapters. Some may be filled with growth and connection, while others may be shaped by loss, uncertainty, difficult relationships, or simply feeling stuck. While our previous chapters are an important part of our story, they do not have to define the ones that come next.
At Next Chapter Counseling, therapy is an opportunity to better understand the experiences that have shaped you, recognize patterns that may no longer be serving you, and intentionally decide what you want to carry forward. Rather than erasing or rewriting the past, the goal is to learn from it while creating space for something new.

I provide a client-centered, validating environment that meets you where you are. Using psychoeducation and trauma-informed care, I help you understand how your experiences may shape your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
I use an integrated approach to therapy drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). This allows me to tailor our work to your unique needs, experiences, and goals.
-
I work with individuals who want to better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change in their lives.
While my specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, mood instability, life transitions, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and relationship challenges, I welcome clients experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns.
-
I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up without judgment, better understand yourself, and work toward meaningful change. Together, we can identify practical strategies tailored to your unique needs, build greater self-awareness, develop effective coping skills, and increase confidence in navigating life’s challenges.
Ultimately, my goal is for you to leave therapy more equipped to move forward. Life won’t always be easy, but the growth and skills you take with you can support you through whatever your next chapter brings.
My counseling approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized to you.
My goal is to help you gain greater clarity about yourself and what you want for your future while building the confidence and skills to create meaningful and lasting change in your life.

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a better understanding of what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk more about the concerns you shared in your intake forms, relevant experiences and history, what you hope to gain from therapy, and any questions you may have. From there, we’ll begin identifying goals and developing a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
